Toasted sliced almonds are a fantastic garnish for vegetable dishes, desserts, and salads. Lightly toasted sliced almonds enhance the presentation of food. You can easily and quickly turn your sliced almonds into toasted almond slices. Toasting almonds in the oven brings out their flavors. The nuts develop a nutty complexity when lightly toasted, along with a pleasing appearance and crisp texture.

 Instructions for Toasting Almonds

  •  Line a rimmed baking pan with parchment.

  • Evenly spread out the sliced almonds on the parchment

  • Cook In a preheated 400°F oven, for 6-8 minutes.

 Notes on Oven Toasting Almond Slices

  •  I typically check the progress of toasting at 6 minutes to see if the almond slices are becoming lightly browned. If they are not yet browning, extend the time 1 to 2 minutes.

  •  Use raw sliced almonds, these will have the dark skin still intact. Don’t use slivered almonds, as for garnish, thin sliced almonds with the dark skins have a better appearance, more crisp, and flavorful when toasted.
