Maggi Seasoning

Maggi Seasoning Liquid

Liquid Umami Seasoning

Maggi is an excellent liquid seasoning that enhances flavors. It has a slight saltiness and a robust, savory umami profile that brings out flavors. Typically, there is no need to add salt for most Maggi seasoning recipes. Maggi gives you an umami and slightly salty complementary flavor in one liquid seasoning. It pairs well with dry seasonings to enhance a recipe's flavor profile. Choosing a complimentary dry seasoning low in salt or salt-free is a good practice. Maggi is very suitable for dinner recipes. It is particularly good at moderating bitter tastes, such as the bitterness of Brussels sprouts, giving them broader acceptance. It is also good with vegetables that brine well, like asparagus. Maggi is a liquid seasoning with a well-established history, formulated in Europe over 100 years ago. There are country-specific versions with slightly different formulations to suit regional cuisine. My preferred types are the American version and the French version called Arome. Either of these types of Maggi can be used in our Savory Asparagus Side Dish, as well as other vegetable, meat, and fish side dishes.
